And note the bracelet on my left arm. That bracelet used to have the following inscription: 83503, Female, Jeong - Michelle, 8/22/05, 0350, Dr. Hom, California Pacific Medical Center, California Campus, Ident-a-band, Father. It's the bracelet that was put on me at 0355 on 8/22/05, right after Lian was born. Michelle had an identical one with "Mother", and Lian had 2, one on each ankle.
I haven't wanted to take it off. I don't know why. The words have all faded. Only the 83503 remains. Someday maybe that too will wear off and I'll be left with a faded yellow plastic bracelet with a simple aluminum snap band holding it together. That, and my beautiful baby girl.
